Pottery being one of the most ancient art forms where the first use was of functional wares for storing food and water.Today,pottery is everywhere .. with its extensive usage as functional tableware , decorative and sculptural works of art.

Being a Fine Artist and been lucky to learn sculpture for few months I was very keen to learn pottery also. Finally I got an opportunity to learn pottery,initially I thought it would just be moulding clay the way I want it to be and use my knowledge of painting palette in glazing the pieces as well but what I learnt is one cannot just rush on clay .Every step in the process is so challenging where it involves a lot of patience and perseverance especially the science of glazing . The slippery beauty of the clay is so addictive as well as therapeutic for mind which can make me spend hours working in the studio . My works speaks a language of love and belief ,hoping that you will enjoy the glimpses of them , the way I did creating them.
